What's Up B-Words, Welcome Back to Dropouts!

I think at this point we've all had that idea of what it would be like to dropout of college, or even high school. The constant stress, boring routine, and feeling as if everything you're doing is a waste of time has crossed everyone's mind at some point or another. Obviously most of us can't or won't dropout depending on your situation, but imagining how different things could be is a great escape from the stress of academic life.

Dropouts is a podcast hosted by Zach Justice, Indiana Massara, and Jared Bailey where they talk about the fun and interesting things that happen in their lives. Zach was pursuing his undergraduate degree until he dropped out and Indiana was doing online high school, but later decided to stop and just get her GED. Jared on the other hand did finish junior college and receive his associates, so technically he's the only member who isn't considered a dropout. Indiana is a musician, influencer, and actor who is best known for her role on Chicken Girls. Zach is a TikToker whose been on the platform back when it was still called Musically. Jared is a musician and also edits the podcasts. Beginning back in June 2020, Dropouts has featured many guests who are friends of the hosts and also have a social media following. Some of these guests include Zane and Heath, Mads Lewis, Kian & JC, and Mariah Amato. They usually ask their guests about how they got started in the industry, what contributed to them gaining a following, and funny or interesting stories from their lives. Some of the games they've played on Dropouts include putting their past guests on a tier list based on how well they'd do in the Hunger Games, rating celebrity Halloween costumes, and Siblings or Dating. A big reason why I enjoy this podcast is because of how casual the conversations are. The three hosts are all really good friends and that's reflected in how they talk to and interact with each other. The stories they talk about on the podcast are at times a bit crazy, but the hosts have such likable personalities so you'll grow to enjoy each episode.

Dropouts releases new episodes every Tuesday on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcast and wherever else podcast are available.

  1. I think this was a really cool way of putting how we pressure those often close to us to get an education other than highschool. It was amazing to see how two of the host do not have that much of a big education title under them yet along with their other host they are able to understand and view. However, to also see the have guest whom also started off where they once were is really cool to think of.

  2. I've seen clips of these guys on Tik Tok whether its regular videos that they make or actual clips from the podcast. From what I've seen I can tell that they are genuine people who enjoy what their doing. This is definitely a podcast that I could find myself listening to as the best podcasts are the ones where the guest enjoy every second of what they do and are constantly entertaining themselves and their audiences along the way. Its always cool to see different perspectives especially when it comes to something as in dropping out of school. Every student has had the thought of doing it at some point but many either get to far in or don't actually have the nerve to do it. Sounds really interesting and something I could find myself checking out.

  3. This sounds like a really interesting podcast and I love how you emphasized the fact that there is a struggle for people trying to pursue their dreams. Especially for people who drop out of school, you make sure to write them in a way that doesn't look down upon them for doing so. This sounds like a fun podcast that takes a look into the lives of influencers that we might now always see as fans. - Valerie V.
