Baking a Murder with Stephanie Soo

Welcome to this week's episode of Baking a Mystery

Are you a fan of horror, thrillers and mysteries? Do you enjoy watching other people cook? Then here's a podcast that's right for you.

Baking A Murder is a podcast that talks about psychological thrillers and horror movies/books. The hosts are Stephanie Soo aka Miss MangoButt and her fiancĂ© Mister MangoButt, and before you ask, his real name is a mystery. This podcast focuses on diving into popular thriller and horror genre based movies, shows, and books. Starting back in August of 2020, each episode sees the hosts breaking down the thriller of the week by summarizing the plot, breaking down the characters, and discussing how or if the thriller is in someway related to true events. I personally enjoy watching thriller and horror based movies and tv shows so this podcast is something that instantly caught my attention. Even though the podcast is considered true crime it's also considered comedy. Stephanie Soo combines her love and passion for thrillers and mysteries with the lighthearted and funny personality she shows in her YouTube videos. Some of the episodes can get a little dark at times, but Miss and Mister MangoButt help balance it out with their comedic banter. A reason why I started listening and watching the podcast is because some episodes were about thrillers I've seen before such as the Netflix series Girl From Nowhere. It's interesting to hear a topic I'm familiar with discussed because Stephanie and her fiancĂ© give a different perspective and point things I didn't notice when watching the show for myself. Some of the thrillers they discuss include the book One of Us is Lying, the thriller movie Frozen, and the Korean film Hide and Seek.

Baking A Murder is available of Spotify, Apple Podcast, YouTube, and pretty much any other platform you listen to podcast.
