Anchor

During the past five months, I've listened to more podcasts than I have in my entire life. The podcasts I've listen to and shared on the blog have taught me a lot of productivity, learning from the perspective of  people from different backgrounds, and also has given me a way to better use my time aside from scrolling on social media. Something that I've learned is that there truly is a podcast about everything whether it's about being productive, friendships and relationships, conspiracy theories, or living your life. Podcast have become the new normal and everyone seems to either have one or been a guest on one. The set-up and process of starting a podcast does seem overwhelming, but it's actually easy to start your own podcast.

Anchor, a subdivision of Spotify, is a free platform for creating a podcast. Anchor has tools that enable users to record and edit audio, arrange it into episodes for the podcast, and then publish podcasts to any and all listening platforms.  The content on the podcasts can then be monetized by collecting listener contributions or adding advertisement to episodes. Anchor is for users of all skill levels, with beginners having no experience able to quickly adapt to it. Recordings don't need to be done with expensive cameras, all you really need is a smartphone. The free platform also includes a library to store user recordings, royalty free music, and sound effects. Anchor also allows users to review the analytics of their podcast to track performance across all platforms distributed. Some of the podcast featured in my blogposts like Asian Glow and Suburb Talks are created using anchor. Anchor also has its own blog to teach users about how to create a successful podcast.

Anchor can be used on iOS, Android, iPad, and web browsers. Start your own podcast today at anchor.fm
